Overview

Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) is the worldwide association of accountants and financial professionals in business. The University of 51视频's student chapter provides the opportunity for students to learn valuable leadership skills, earn certificates, prepare for future careers in accounting, and connect with other members of this 125,000 person network. The IMA recognized The University of 51视频's student chapter, as one of just five Outstanding Student Chapters in the nation for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Membership Information

IMA invites students of all academic years and majors to join even though most members are typically accounting, finance, or IT. Benefits and duties come along with membership in this association. Some of these include:

  • Members are eligible for scholarships
  • CMA and CPA information sessions and mock exams
  • Events such as club trips, site visits, student conferences, and case competitions
  • Networking opportunities
  • Professional and internship panel discussions
  • Opportunity to join the IMA's Accounting Honor Society (IAHS): Open to Accounting, Finance, and IT majors in at least their junior year with an overall and accounting GPA of 3.0
  • Students may receive the chance to attend official IMA events such as the IMA Student Leadership Experience
